FONDATEL has since implemented a series of concrete actions:

  • Optimisation of raw material supply: increasing the proportion of recycled materials processed, involvement of suppliers.
  • Revision of production processes to reduce energy consumption.
  • Reorganisation of the logistics chain to reduce the impact of transporting the parts sold.
  • Development of a new CO2 indicator calculated for each batch to measure the CO2 impact in real time, depending on the composition of the cast iron.
  • Appointment of a steering committee and continuous monitoring of action plan measures.

Beyond the impact reduction efforts made on the sites and within the company’s value chain, these investments allow FONDATEL to contribute to global carbon neutrality and the emergence of a more virtuous and responsible industry.

In addition to these immediate actions and with the support of CO2logic’s teams, Fondatel is working on a 10-year plan for the main impact categories: raw materials procurement, own energy consumption and circularity At the same time, carbon footprint monitoring and updating are planned on an annual basis to accurately track the effects of the company’s climate plan.
